Toronto Bees Add Star Power to Winning Roster

After winning the 3HL Oshawa Showcase, the Toronto Bees have bulked up their already impressive roster by adding former NHL veteran Mike Johnson.

Over 11 NHL seasons with Toronto, Tampa Bay, Phoenix, St.Louis and Montreal, the Scarborough,ON native netted 129 goals and added 246 assists for 375 points in 631 games.

The Bowling Green State University product was selected to the 1997/98 NHL All-Rookie team after scoring 47 points(15G,32A) with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Johnson currently works as an analyst on the NHL Network.

Johnson is set to make his 3HL debut on February 18th at the 3HL Collingwood Classic at Eddie Bush Memorial Arena.

The Bees round out their roster by adding former Utica College(NCAA) forward Ridge Garbutt. The Toronto,ON native played 78 games with Pioneers tallying 68 points. Garbutt led the country with four shorthanded goals in his senior year, helping lead the program to a national ranking in 2013/14.
